A living archive of Black experience, told in full — and now open for community investment.
You already have the narrative infrastructure that most organizations spend years trying to build. Four distinct, serious storytelling assets — each with its own audience, its own emotional weight, and its own fundraising potential.
The gap isn't the work. The gap is the monetization structure around the work.
This campaign converts that existing asset base into a diversified funding engine: screening revenue, patron giving, corporate sponsorship, and crowdfunding — all running simultaneously under a single brand identity.
Screening Tickets
$35–75/seat × 50–200 per event
Patron Circle
Recurring $100–$2,500 donors
Corporate Sponsorship
Naming rights, screening packages
Crowdfunding
Campaign-specific 30–60 day raise
Donor Salons
Intimate cultivation events
Choose a campaign name that unifies all four assets under one fundraising identity:
Root the Story
Positions the work as foundational — you're funding the roots, not just the output.
Light the Archive
Connects Rooted in Light to the broader archive mission. Evocative, specific.
Memory Lives Here
Centers the audience and community. Strong for crowdfunding emotional appeal.
Fund the Record
Direct. No metaphor. Clear to institutional funders and individual donors alike.
Finalize campaign name, landing page, and one archival asset as lead visual. Set up crowdfunding platform (Patronicity, Kickstarter, or direct via Stripe).
Soft launch to existing email list and close network. Collect first 10 patrons privately before public announcement.
Public launch. Deploy all social posts (see Social Playbook tab). Send press release to local arts/culture journalists.
Host first Donor Salon. Invite 15–25 people from existing network. No ask at the event — show the work, let the work do the asking.
First community screening. Announce Founding Benefactor names. Close crowdfunding campaign with a 48-hour final push.
